Introducing HORDE Mobile Companion Field Tools

How H.O.R.D.E.™ Mobile Companion gives coaches phone-friendly practice, roster, stats, depth chart, view-only play viewing, and game day access without pretending to be a native app.

5 min read Football Operations H.O.R.D.E.™ Workflow

H.O.R.D.E.™ started as a web command center because real football setup work needs room: roster management, weeks, assignments, formations, practice planning, packets, stats, film, and player communication all need structure. The Mobile Companion adds a different layer. It gives coaches a phone-first field mode for the moments when they are standing on grass, moving between groups, or checking the plan during practice.

It is a companion, not a replacement

The full web app remains the place for setup, administration, and heavier workflows. The Mobile Companion is focused on phone-friendly field tools so coaches are not forced into desktop-style screens during practice or game day.

Field Tools Mode keeps the screen focused

When a phone is detected, H.O.R.D.E.™ can guide coaches toward Field Tools Mode with quick access to the mobile home, practice, roster, stats, depth chart, view-only Play Viewer, and game day tools.

Practice becomes the field hub

Mobile Practice Mode gives coaches a cleaner list and detail view so they can open the practice plan, read each period, check timing, and keep the staff moving.

Roster and stats matter on the sideline

Coaches often need quick player context or production checks without opening a laptop. Mobile roster cards and stats views make that easier on a phone.

Play Viewer adds field film review

Uploaded clips can be reviewed from a phone or staff iPad in viewer-only mode. Film Room editing still belongs in the full web command center.

The PWA angle is honest

The Mobile Companion can be added to a phone home screen as a progressive web app experience. It is not a native App Store app, does not promise heavy offline sync, and does not replace the full command center. Video viewing is responsive and can use device rotation for a wider film window.

H.O.R.D.E.™ takeaway

Use H.O.R.D.E.™ Mobile Companion when coaches need field-ready access, and use the web command center when the staff needs full setup power.
