Install HORDE on Your Phone Without the App Store

How the H.O.R.D.E.™ Mobile Companion PWA approach lets coaches add field tools to a phone home screen without a native App Store install.

H.O.R.D.E.™ Mobile Companion is designed as a progressive web app experience. A coach can open H.O.R.D.E.™ in a mobile browser and add Field Tools to the phone home screen for a more app-like launch path without requiring a native App Store or Google Play install.

A PWA keeps rollout simple

Programs can use the same hosted H.O.R.D.E.™ platform while giving coaches a cleaner phone entry point for field tools.

iPhone and iPad install path

Open H.O.R.D.E.™ in Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on iPhone or iPad, tap the browser Share button, choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. iOS does not use the same automatic install prompt coaches may see on Android.

Android install path

Open H.O.R.D.E.™ in Chrome on Android, tap the browser menu, then choose Install app or Add to Home screen when offered.

It still respects the web app

The PWA shell does not turn every workflow into a native mobile app. It creates an installable companion around the mobile-friendly parts of the platform.

Phone detection improves the handoff

When H.O.R.D.E.™ sees a phone-sized screen, it can introduce Field Tools Mode and route the coach toward the mobile companion home.

No overpromising

The Mobile Companion should not be marketed as heavy offline sync, push notifications, full Film Room editing, or a full native app. It is a field-ready web companion with view-only play review.

H.O.R.D.E.™ takeaway

Add H.O.R.D.E.™ to the phone home screen for fast access to Field Tools Mode while keeping full setup work in the web command center.
